Welcome

At Skyecroft Boarding Cattery, we understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your cat while you’re away. Our aim is to give every owner complete confidence that their feline companion will receive exceptional care in a safe, peaceful and comfortable environment.

Whether your cat is visiting us for a few days or an extended stay, our friendly and experienced team takes the time to get to know each guest as an individual. We focus on providing a relaxed routine, plenty of care and attention, and a calm atmosphere that helps every cat settle in and feel at home.

Our Story

Skyecroft Boarding Cattery has welcomed cats from across the local area for many years, providing owners with a trusted place where their pets can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our reputation has been built on genuine compassion, high standards of care and a commitment to treating every cat as an individual.

Led by Wendy Oliver, our experienced team understands that no two cats are the same. Some settle in straight away, while others need a little extra time and reassurance. By taking the time to learn each cat’s routine, preferences and personality, we can provide the attentive care they need to feel safe and secure throughout their stay.

Nothing is more rewarding than welcoming familiar faces back through our doors. Whether it’s a cat’s very first visit or they’ve stayed with us many times before, we strive to make every visit a positive experience for both our feline guests and their owners.

Our Promise

Every member of our team is committed to providing the highest standard of care for every cat entrusted to us. We know they’re much more than pets, they’re valued members of the family. That’s why we take the time to ensure each guest receives the individual attention, kindness and reassurance they deserve. From the day they arrive until they’re reunited with you, our priority is to make their stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind.

Our Team

Our caring and experienced team is dedicated to making every cat’s stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. From maintaining their usual feeding routine to providing plenty of gentle attention and daily care, we work hard to ensure each guest feels relaxed, secure and well cared for throughout their time with us.

Because every cat has their own unique personality, we take the time to understand their individual needs and preferences. Whether they enjoy watching the world go by from a cosy bed, playing with their favourite toys or simply having a peaceful place to unwind, we’ll provide the attentive care and calm environment they need to feel at home.

Wendy Oliver

Wendy bought Skyecroft in August 2018 after deciding to follow her lifelong passion for animals and turn it into a career.

Since taking over, she has gained her Animal Care qualification and is passionate about continually developing her knowledge. Wendy encourages the whole team to undertake regular CPD training, ensuring every member of staff is equipped to provide the highest standard of care for the cats staying at Skyecroft.

She has also invested heavily in improving the cattery, carrying out extensive maintenance and upgrades to create a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where every cat can relax and feel at home.

Wendy believes that continually investing in both the team and the cattery creates a sustainable business that delivers the high standard of care she would expect for her own pets.

As one of our customer-facing team members, Wendy is often there to welcome you and your cat on arrival and to hand them back at the end of their stay. She lives on site with her own three dogs and two cats, ensuring there’s always someone close by to care for every feline guest.

Sophie

Sophie is Skyecroft’s Cattery Manager and has been a valued member of the team for over 20 years. She joined straight after completing her Animal Care qualification and, through her dedication, knowledge, and passion for animal welfare, has worked her way up to her current role.

As Cattery Manager, Sophie plays a key part in the day-to-day running of Skyecroft and is often one of the friendly faces you’ll meet when dropping off or collecting your cat. She takes great pride in ensuring every feline guest receives the highest standard of care throughout their stay.

When she’s not at work, Sophie’s love of animals continues at home, where she cares for her four dogs, a cat, and even a few fish!

Dani

Dani has worked in the kennels industry since leaving college and has been a valued member of the Skyecroft team for the past three years. She initially joined us on a part-time basis before quickly becoming a full-time member of the team, reflecting her enthusiasm and commitment to caring for every animal that stays with us.

Alongside her work in the kennels, Dani enjoys the different pace of the cattery, taking just as much pride in ensuring our feline guests feel relaxed, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their stay. As one of our customer-facing team members, she is often there to welcome you and your cat on arrival and to hand them back at the end of their stay.

Away from Skyecroft, Dani shares her home with three dogs, a cat, and several birds, so it’s safe to say that caring for animals is very much a way of life for her.
